Audi lets you be the Le Mans hero

By Johan Laubscher

Audi was well represented at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Various new models were on display, thrilling the public. Among all the new cars and promotions there was one extremely clever idea from Audi. Titled The Audi Le Mans Experience, it was an activity were an iPad was used to take a photo of a person. The photo, along with the person’s name and national flag were then incorporated into a very clever two minute video. All the videos are identical but for the difference in the person’s photo and the name that appears in the intro, on the actual car, race broadcast and the Audi Magazine.

Your name on the #1 Audi R18
The video portrays the person driving the #1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro at Le Mans 2012. Wisely chosen camera work and commentary that is all in the third person, ensures a enjoyable video which shows the person in question driving like a champion at Le Mans to come back from a problem and win the race overall. All the videos are uploaded onto the official YouTube channel where the person can view his victorious success at the 2012 Le Mans 24 Hours.

Both Mr George Achorn from Fourtitude and Mr Joshua Decker from QuattroWorld took part in this activity. We must admit, the videos look amazing. It was a very clever initiative by the marketing team at Audi. Enjoy watching Fourtitude and QuattroWorld take victory in the videos below:
