Audi teams want victory at VLN round 9

The ninth round of the VLN Endurance Series is at the demanding Nordschleife this weekend. The ROWE 250-Meilen-Rennen, a four hour event. Audi was victorious last time out with a brilliant 1-2 win and they aim to repeat that result. Three Audi R8 LMS ultra will be there.

At round 8 Raeder Motorsport made history by clinching their first ever win with the Audi R8 LMS ultra. The #44 green and white car will try to win again in hands of Thomas Mutsch and Christian Hohenadel. At Phoenix Racing there will again be two cars. The #5 car will have youngsters and Audi regulars Christer Jöns and Luca Ludwig. The sister #15 will have a different line-up this time as both Marc Basseng and Frank Stippler are busy in FIA GT1. Frank Biela, a regular this season with Raeder will share the car with Christopher Haase. The Audi squad will have to compete against strong competition from the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche teams.

In addition to the Audi R8 LMS ultra in the top SP9 class, multiple Audis are entering different classes. The SP4T class will have no less than four Audi TT RS cars.
