Le Mans 2012 has started and already big battles are developing between Audi and Toyota. Even inside the Audi camp there is a fierce battle between the Hybrid and TDI powered R18 crews. Very emotional and fought qualifying sessions took place at La Sarthe this week. The #1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro took a sensational pole position in hands of Benoit Treluyer who also claimed the 2011 pole position. The French driver set an amazing 3:23.787, that is two seconds faster from last year’s pole position. The 2011 race winners are ahead of the #3 Audi R18 ultra on the front row of the grid. Enjoy this footage from Le Mans Live by Michelin about the battle for pole.
