- 1-2-3 lead for Audi Sport Team Joest
Ingolstadt/Le Mans, June 16, 2012 – After more than one hour of safety car period the 80th edition of the Le Mans 24 Hours was back to racing again from 21:13hrs on. Audi Sport Team Joest enjoys a 1-2-3 lead after seven hours of racing.
The fight for the lead between the #1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro and the #7 Toyota came to a sudden end after the restart when the second placed Toyota collided with another car and had to the pit two times afterwards. As a result, Dindo Capello (#2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro) and Oliver Jarvis (#4 Audi R18 ultra) moved up to positions two and three.
